2 day Bikepacking Trip
We’re out of here! Lake Hawea here we come! 2 days of riding bikes, 1 night camping, carrying all our own gear and tons of fun! It’s a micro-adventure in our own back yard as we head out for some fun! Check out Hawea River trail for a better idea of the trails.
Prerequisites for ALL overnight trips:
-Intermediate skill/fitness
-Been to a WORD term or holiday camp
Friday 17 January
Meet: 12:30 Lake Wanaka waterfront at the dinosaur park.
Ride: Lake Wanaka to Lake Hawea (19km- off-road riverside pathway)
Campsite: The Camp, Lake Hawea
Saturday 18 January
Ride: Lake Hawea to Lake Wanaka (19km- off-road riverside pathway)
Meet: 12pm at Lake Wanaka waterfront at the dinosaur park.
Cost: $235 for the 2 day camp
Cost includes:
-1 nights camping
-All food and snacks
-Bikepacking racks and dry bags
-2 amazing WORD Instructors (1:5 ratio)
–WORD t-shirt and WORD sticker
Pre Trip Meeting

We’ll meet before the trip to go over a few details, pack our bikes and answer any questions before we get out on the trails!
